Directed by: Jeff Kanew

Will Sasso is Awesomest Maximus, a stocky General who is more concerned with eating, drinking and trying to bang his wife Hottessa (Kristanna Loken) who despises him, than leading an army. When Hotessa’s younger brother Orlando convinces King Erotic’s wife Princess Ellen (Sophie Monk) to travel with him be her Gay-BFF, they unwittingly start a war. King Erotic (Khary Payton) enlists the great warrior Testiclees (Ian Ziering) and the little Minoritees (Tony Cox) to attempt to destroy Awesomest and his father-in-law King Looney’s (Rip Torn) kingdom.
I unfortunately saw the inanely awful Meet The Spartans a few years ago and was a little apprehensive about watching National Lampoon’s The Legend of Awesomest Maximus, but because I was a little inebriated with the spouse, we decided to give this one a shot…after some shots; and to be honest we were not disappointed. I love myself a dirty spoof flick on occasion. It’s basically a a combined parody of 300, Troy and Gladiator. Lots of good looking naked women (unfortunately Sophie Monk & Kristanna Loken are merely scantily clad), punny visual jokes involving a Trojan Penis and it’s all narrated by Ludacris. Ian Ziering was actually funny and his yoked body is ridiculous. The bits with Testiclees cousin (Edward Barbanell) were hilarious.
The film was completely shot on a digital camera which makes the picture really crisp and clean; however that’s all you’ll be getting on the Blu-ray since there are no special features, although there are some outtakes in the end credits to enjoy. The title sequence alone is impressive with the CG animation.
Some of the jokes are pretty predictable, but it’s fun flick for those who appreciate lowbrow cinema.
