More “Iron Man 3” news! We not only have talk of Andy Lau possibly joining the cast, but also Jessica Chastain! For some of you, this film was already on your radar, but for me, someone who’s been surprisingly ho-hum about anything dealing with Marvel projects lately, including “The Avengers,” I’m actually getting really interested in this film.
According to Comic Book News and Deadline, Chastain is in talks to star in the film as “a sexy scientist every bit as smart as Tony Stark.” Will she be a threat to Pepper Potts? Hopefully, she will–I feel like I need Pepper to jump a little if she really wants to be with Tony. That sounds really mean, but if there’s one criticism I have about “Iron Man 2,” it’s that there seemed to be nothing happening between Pepper and Tony except for witty screwball comedy-esque lines until the very end.
Also, according to Comic Book News, Chastain’s character might be Maya Hansen, an old girlfriend of Tony’s who becomes heavily involved in the storyline of “Extremis.”
