Dark Shadows is big, but is it The Avengers big? Not even close. In fact, Dark Shadows won’t even be able to take that top spot from last weekend’s big winner. The Avengers even has a shot at posting $100 million or more in its second weekend out. As for Dark Shadows, even with Johnny Depp at the helm, it won’t even come close to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’s $56.2 million start. This one’s looking at a Rango-sized opening of about $38 million.

And now here comes the big drop off. After losing 54% of its week two profits, Think Like a Man is heading towards another slashing, losing half of its weekend three profits for a mere $4 million in weekend four. Losing 263 theaters won’t help The Hunger Games much, but considering the film’s already got $380 million in the domestic pot, a $3 million weekend eight is no big deal.

With The Avengers still posting a big number and Dark Shadows taking a hefty portion of the weekend cash flow, The Pirates! Band of Misfits could continue on a swift decline, perhaps losing 50% for a total of just under $3 million in weekend three. The Lucky One will meet the same fate, bringing its $5.5 million weekend three haul down to just $2.5 million in weekend four. The Five-Year Engagement hasn’t had much luck and it certainly won’t this weekend either. After a disappointing $10.6 million start, it got cut in half to just $5 million and, this time around, it’ll be lucky to snag another $2.5 million.

After losing over 60% of their weekend three profits, both Safe and The Raven are looking at a 50% loss. Should that be the case, both will come in at about the $1.3 million mark, leaving the 10th position wide open for Chimpanzee with a 40% loss and a $1.5 million weekend four total.
