Principal photography for Summit Entertainment’s action sci-fi thriller ‘The Tomb’ has officially started. Directed by Mikael Hafstrom, the movie is being filmed on location in the New Orleans area.
Written by Miles Chapman, ‘The Tomb’ follows Ray Breslin, played by Sylvester Stallone, the world’s foremost authority on structural security. He has analyzed nearly every high security prison, before being framed by persons unknown. All of Ray’s expertise is put to work as he sets to escape from a high-tech prison that’s designed on his own protocols.
Arnold Schwarzenegger plays Emil Rottmayer, a complex inmate who fights to keep the prisoners from losing their humanity. Jim Caviezel plays Hobbes, the warden of the Tomb, a maximum prison that deals with inmates the government doesn’t want records of.
Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson is playing Ray Ray’s right-hand man and high-technology expert, Hush. Vincent D’Onofrio is portraying Lester Clark, Ray’s business partner and CEO of B&C Security. The independent security company was hired by the Federal Bureau of Prisons to test the integrity of the maximum-security facilities nationwide.
Sam Neil is playing Dr. Emil Kaikev, the prison doctor in the Tomb, who is sympathetic to Ray’s plight. Amy Ryan is portraying Abigail Ross, one of Ray’s closest confidants at B&C Security.
