A new secret Catwoman poster for the anticipated third installment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman series, ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ is among the several new banners, TV ad, stills and quotes released from the film, Slashfilm is reporting. However, the filmmaker revealed his weariness of including the iconic character in the second sequel of his franchise.
Nolan told Empire Magazine that he was nervous how Catwoman would fit into his world of Batman. “Once I got my head around the idea of looking at that character through the prism of our films, saying, ‘Who could that person be in real-life?’ we figured it out,” he said. Nolan added that she’s a bit of a con-woman.
Anne Hathaway, who portrays Catwoman in ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ said that with Nolan as her director, she trusted everything included in the film. “I have no problems bowing down to (Chris’) vision. I’ve loved every movie he’s made; it’s an honor to be in one of them,” she said.
Tom Hardy, who plays Bane in the film, also discussed what it was like following Heath Ledger’s Academy Award-winning portrayal of The Joker in ‘The Dark Knight.’ “That would be putting myself in a competition with somebody who’s clearly brilliant…I’m not trying to be better than somebody else. What he did was amazing,” Hardy said.
