NBC has picked up the new pilot entitled ‘Secret Lives’. The upcoming drama series comes from Jerry Bruckheimer and Warner Brothers, and will chronicle the lives of three California couples all living in a “seemingly idyllic community” but get caught up in a world filled with secrets and lies. The show is part of NBC’s decision to order additional new shows on a year-round basis, dumping their normal routine of airing in the fall and winter months according to reports from Variety.
Show runners have plans to kick off production this coming fall with casting set to take place sometime soon. The ‘Secret Lives’, also referred to as ‘The Secret Lives of Husbands and Wives’ is an adaption from the book by the same name from novelist Josie Brown. The pilot was written by Sasha Penn. Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman will executive produce the series together. The NBC Network hasn’t shared much else about the pilot. Bruckheimer is well known for his work on such television series and films like ‘The Amazing Race Australia’, ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’, ‘The Amazing Race’, ‘Take the Money & Run ‘, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’, ‘Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time’, and ‘Confessions of a Shopaholic’.
