With the anticipated release of ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ which hits theaters on July 20, Warner Bros. has released a new trailer focusing on Catwoman and her relationship with Batman. Thetrailer, which has been released alongside the spot that aired during the MTV Movie Awards last month, is providing additional details on the woman behind the masked villain.
The new trailer showcases the uneasy alliance between Catwoman, played by Anne Hathaway, and Batman, once again portrayed by Christian Bale. In filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s final installment in his Batman trilogy, the writer-director-producer shows that Selina Kyle’s costumed alter ego as Catwoman allows her to exude confidence. Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne’s vigilante identity is shown to be a heavy burden and unhealthy obsession for Bruce.
Both Bruce and Selina are shown to be most comfortable in at least a partial disguise in the new trailer. Selina will use her disguises to help her serve her own interests, whether she’s aligning with Batman or his latest rival, Bane, played by Tom Hardy.
