Moviegoers can now live out their fantasies by entering a new sweepstakes at Welcome to Rekall. In anticipation of the August 3 release of Len Wiseman’s sci-fi action-adventure remake ‘Total Recall,’ audiences can enter to have their fantasy come true, and experience their own form of Rekall.
All visitors to the Welcome to Rekall site will be able to link their Facebook profiles to their entry to receive a personalized Rekall video. The video will detail the story of their new memories and successful Rekall experience.
The Welcome to Rekall sweepstakes includes the following fantasies: the Sports Anchor winner will follow an anchor at ESPN’s headquarters. The Rock Star winner will spend a day with Green Day. The winner will meet the band, attend a sound check and receiving on-stage access.
The Fashionista winner, meanwhile, will spend a day with Heidi Klum and her stylist in New York. The winner of the Secret Agent contest will attend the Stiletto Spy School or the MI6 Academy. The UFC Fighter winner will train with pro fighters and sit ringside with the trainer
The winner of the Socialite contest will live like a celebrity in Los Angeles and attend a red carpet event. Meanwhile, the Club DJ winner will receive DJ lessons and a club date. The Video Gamer winner will win a PlayStation and shadow a game developer.
The last winner, the Millionaire, will receive 1,000,000 Sony Rewards points. With Sony Rewards, members are rewarded for doing the things they already love, like going to the movies or playing games. The points can be used to redeem for the latest Sony electronics, movies, music and games. Sony Rewards also gives users insider access to the latest Sony content, and also allow them to share their experience with friends.
There’s another new website for ‘Total Recall,’ No Rekall, which tries to convince people not to undergo the total rekall experience. The website tell people of the dangerous side effects of the experience, including total memory loss, brain damage and even death. The website also offers glimpses into cases of people experiencing the negative effects of total reckall.
‘Total Recall’ follows Euroamerica (formerly North America and the European Union) and New Shanghai (formerly China and South east Asia) as they fight for political power. Set in a near dystopian future in 2084, a factory worker suffering from violent nightmares, Doug Quaid, played by Colin Farrell, begins to suspect that he’s a spy. Hi believes his memories were erased and replaced, but he’s unsure what side of the fight he’s on.
Doug teams with a young female freedom fighter, Melina, played by Jessica Biel. They must change the political system in Euroamerica, which is controlled by the ruthless President Vilos Cohaagen, played by Bryan Cranston.
