With director Ridley Scott’s sci-fi thriller ‘Prometheus’ being one of the most anticipated films to hit theaters last month, initial details about the Blu-ray extras are already being released. Collider is reporting that the Blu-ray is set to hit stores on October 3, and the bonus feature highlights include 15 minutes of deleted or alternate scenes and the film’s entire viral material.

The ‘Prometheus’ Blu-ray is also set to include audio commentary by Scott; the first and final drafts of the script in a text document; four viral videos, including Peter Weyland’s full Ted Talk; Scott’s Sketches; actress Noomi Rapace’s screen tests; and nine featurettes, totaling 120 minutes, of behind-the-scenes looks at the creatures, story, visual effects and more.

Besides the ‘Prometheus’ Blu-ray, the ‘Evolution: From Alien to Prometheus’ box set, which includes the entire Alien saga on nine discs, is also being released. Not only will it include the three discs for ‘Prometheus,’ it will also feature the original ‘Alien,’ whose special features include audio commentary by Scott and the cast and cut and extended scenes.

Disc five will feature the sequel, ‘Aliens,’ as well as an audio commentary by director James Cameron and the cast and crew. It will also include an interactive experience with the computer MU-TH-UR.

Discs six and seven will feature the films ‘Alien 3’ and ‘Alien-Resurrection,’ respectively. They will also include audio commentaries by the cast and crew, as well as cut and extended scenes. The final two discs will exclusively feature bonus features, including Making the anthology and pre, principal and post photography.
