“Yes, yes and yes!” actor Channing Tatum said when asked by Glamour Magazine about the possibility of another ‘Magic Mike’ installment. “We’re working on the concept now,” he shared with the outlet. Adding, “We want to flip the script and make it bigger. We’re actually talking about the possibility of doing the prequel. For good reason too. According to the actor, who seems to be involved in a slew of Hollywood projects, a prequel to the stripper biopic from director Steven Soderbergh would give him reason to stick around. “Because if you do the sequel, then you lose Mike [Tatum’s character],” he noted. “Otherwise, what’s Mike going to do? He’s going to come back for one big heist… so, you would do the prequel – how they got there.”
Currently Tatum has a full schedule working on several new projects. He is on board ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’, ‘The Bitter Pill’ with Steven Soderbergh, Jude Law and Rooney Mara. The 32-year old is also the voice of Superman in the animation ‘Lego: The Piece of Resistance’, ‘The Contortionist’s Handbook’ with Dustin Hoffman, ‘Foxcatcher’, Roland Emmerich’s ‘White House Down’ with Jamie Foxx and Maggie Gyllenhaal, and ‘Jupiter Ascending’ with Mila Kunis.
