Actress Gina La Piana has been added to the cast of Brett Ratner’s newest TV Series, “Rock in a Hard Place”. Prism is the daughter of an aging Jewish punk rock star, Lance “Lint” Jones, who will be played by Steven Weber.
‘Rock in a Hard Place’ follows Lint, the former front man of the band The Prix. After years of a carefree lifestyle and spending time in rehab, he moves back home with his mother. Lint’s first ex-wife and Prism’s mother, Debbie, will be played by Lesley Ann Warren. Rosanna Arquette will play his second ex-wife, Janice, a former porn star.
Piana, who has appeared in such films as ‘Jerry Maguire’ and ‘Knockout,’ and on such shows as ‘The Mentalist’ and ‘Days of Our Lives,’ said she’s excited to work “with some of my heroes along with my pal, Brett Ratner. I think Brett is wildly talented and being a part of his process will be thrilling for me.”
‘Rock in a Hard Place’ was created by Huffington Post writer, David Fagin. The pilot episode will be directed by Griffin Dunne. Ratner’s production company, Rat TV, is currently in talks to air the series on Showtime.
