NBC has recently announced some shows that have been ordered to script for their 2013-14 development season. Two confirmed projects are a brother comedy and a hotel drama.

Legendary “Saturday Night Live” writer Lorne Michaels will team up with Seth Meyers (“Saturday Night Live”) and Josh Meyers (“MAD TV”) on a new multicamera comedy about brothers. The Meyers brothers will write alongside “The Colbert Report”‘s Peter Grosz, and SNL’s Lorne Michaels will executive produce the Universal Television project through his Broadway Video shingle, according to The Hollywood Reporter. If the show is ultimately ordered to series, it would be another of Michaels’ comedy projects, which include “Up All Night,” “30 Rock” and “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.”

Also up for NBC, according to The Hollywood Reporter, is “Hotel California” from Universal Television. The drama revolves around a high-end Los Angeles hotel and its general manager and permanent resident Jamie Jones, who’s determined to keep the property as “the place to stay” in the city. The script will be written by Ol Parker, the screenwriter behind “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.” Parker also wrote and directed the 2005 feature “Imagine Me & You.” Working Title TV’s Daniel Pipski will be on board to executive produce.
