‘Rock of Ages’ script writer and boyfriend of Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux, has sealed a new movie deal where he will be directing and writing the new comedy ‘Swear To God’. The picture will feature the crazy duo of Steve Carell and Will Ferrell, According to Deadline, Ferrell’s alter ego in the movie is described as a “narcissistic hedge fund manager who thinks he has seen God.” As far as Carell’s character goes details are slim at best but where guessing the former ‘Office’ star is going to help Ferrell through his journey.
‘Swear To God’ is scheduled to kick off production next summer in July and will be produced by Ferrell and Adam McKay’s Gary Sanchez Production through Warner Brothers. The project marks Theroux’s second time in the directors chair. The ‘Wanderlust’ actor previously brought Dedication to theaters back in 2008. The romance picture starred Billy Crudup, Mandy Moore and Tom Wilkinson. Theroux also looks to have an empty slate up ahead (per IMDb) when it comes to movie roles, giving him plenty of time to work on the forthcoming comedy with two of the biggest stars right now. The movie looks to be aiming for a 2014 release date.
