Are you ready for the release of Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard’s “The Cabin in the Woods?” The film makes its way to digital download September 4 and DVD and Blu-ray September 18, but until then, the film’s Facebook page is hyping the release by holding a creepy competition called Monster Madness.
On the Facebook page, supernatural beasts are pitted against each other and “The Cabin in the Woods” fans are being asked to vote on which monster is the scariest. Currently, Round One is being decided upon, but keep checking the page for more battles and more monsters, as well as some of the special features you’ll receive on the DVD/Blu-ray and digital download releases.

“The Cabin in the Woods” stars Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz, Jesse Williams, Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford and tells the story of a group of friends who to a remote cabin in the woods. Of course, whenever a premise starts off like that, you know terrible, gory things are bound to follow. The film was written by both Whedon and Goddard; Goddard acted as director.
