The Dark Knight’s Christian Bale has joined director David O. Russell’s yet to be titled con picture. Bale will star alongside the already cast Jeremy Renner, Amy Adams and Bradley Cooper. The flick is scheduled to start filming this February in both New York and New Jersey. According to Digital Spy the movie is based on a real life con man and his mistress who team up with a Federal Agent, ratting out their criminal counterparts. The script comes from screen writers Russell and Eric Warren Singer and producer Charles Roven who praised David O. Russell and the upcoming crime drama. “David has put together an incredible ensemble of actors for what is going to be a powerful and emotional drama about one of the most memorable cast of characters in recent history.”
Christian Bale will take on the role of the con artist in the film that marks the second project for the actor and Russell after previously working together on ‘The Fighter’. Adams will play his mistress with Cooper set to portray the Federal Agent. As production begins more details are sure to be on the way. Meanwhile, Bale is also busy filming the ‘Untitled Terrence Malick Project’ and is rumored to be a part of ‘The Creed of Violence’ from director Todd Field. The former Batman star will show up next in ‘Out of the Furnace’ and ‘Knight of Cup’ that are due in theaters next year.
