If you’re a fan of ‘Arrow’ actor Stephen Amell you’re well aware that the superhero series just got a full pick up with the CW signing up for a full season one of the freshman show. “Best way to start a Monday? Getting picked up for your back nine episodes. Thwick. #Arrow,” Amell shared via Twitter. Later the actor added, “Crew and cast of #Arrow have full hearts today. Thank you one and all for such a warm response. 22 episodes!! Next goal: (we know),”
Unfortunately Amell’s announcement was a tad too early since the CW network had yet to share their own official announcement. “The downside of enthusiasm? I tweeted the news about Arrow’s back nine pickup before that news was fit to be tweeted…My apologies to everyone at CW and Warner Bros. It wasn’t my news to share.” Still, he added, “On the plus side, the crew got to laugh at me. Really hard.” The news was not much of a surprise. The pick up was a given after ‘Arrow’ debuted its pilot episode in what was the most watched premiere on the green network since ‘The Vampire Diaries’ 2009 debut.
