While ‘Warm Bodies’ did little to peak my interest, but did raise curiosity as to how a walker could play the lead in a love story, the first trailer has debuted with some laughable scenes. Picking up on the zombie craze, the adaption of Isaac Marion’s novel details a zombie by the name of R, played by Nicholas Hoult (X Men: First Class), who falls in love with a girl by the name of Julie, portrayed by actress Teresa Palmer of ‘I Am Number Four’. After meeting Julie, R comes back to life after falling in love.
Also seen in the trailer is Crazy Stupid Love’s Analeigh Tipton playing Palmer’s funny best friend Nora along with John Malkovich on board as Palmer’s father. The clip skips any mystery, speeding through scenes of R spotting Julie for the first time, to teaching her how to act like a zombie to avoid being eaten. There’s a strange mix of comedy and sci-fi action as the undead come to life. Dave Franco, Rob Corddry, Cory Hardrict and Dawn Ford also star. Jonathan Levine of 50/50 fame wrote the script and directed the February 2013 release. Check out the ‘Warm Bodies’ trailer below and tell us what you think.
