To spark ‘The Hunger Games’ fans’ interest for the upcoming sequel, ‘Catching Fire,’ a new teaser motion poster has been released by Lionsgatefor for the upcoming sci-fi action adventure film. The poster, which starts as a black screen, bursts into flames, and the film’s mockingjay logo appears in the midst of the flame. The mockingjay then flaps its wings, causing the flames to spark higher.
The poster, which was attached to select screenings of ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 2’ this weekend, also reveals what appears to be ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ tagline, “Every Revolution Begins with a Spark.” The first sequel in ‘The Hunger Games’ series, which will be directed by Francis Lawrence, who will also helm the final two movies, ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1’ and ‘Part 2,’ is set to be released on November 22, 2013.
As a special thank you to fans of ‘The Hunger Games,’ 12 winners will be chosen at random from the film’s Facebook page and will be featured in the end credits of the film. Winners will be announced when the Facebook page hits 12 million total fans. Fans are being encouraged to spread the word online by sharing the motion poster.
‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ follows Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence, as she safely returns home to District 12. She’s joined by fellow tribute and winner of the 74th Annual Hunger Games, Peeta Mellark, portrayed by Josh Hutcherson. They must leave their friends and family again to embark on a Victor’s Tour of the districts.
Along the way, Katniss learns there’s a rebellion in the districts, which the Capital is in control of. President Snow is preparing for the 75th Annual Hunger Games, called The Quarter Quell, a competition that could change Panem forever.
