For most “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” fans, it’s great enough just having the film coming out in the near future, but what’s going to make it even better is to have that film in IMAX.
According to ScreenRant, Josh Hutcherson told MTV exactly which parts of “Catching Fire” will be filmed in IMAX. “They’re shooting, I think, all the stuff in the arena is going to be IMAX [in ‘Catching Fire’],” he said to MTV. “So when you go see it in IMAX, you’ll see the regular movie when we’re in the Districts and in the Capitol. When you see us go up in the pod in the games, it will open up into IMAX. It will be amazing. It’s very cool.”
Seeing the arena scenes in IMAX will be amazing, I’m sure. I can’t wait to see the fan reaction when the film is finally released November 22, 2013.
Alongside Hutcherson, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” stars Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth. The film, directed by Francis Lawrence and continues the story of Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) as she safely returns home to District 12. She’s joined by fellow tribute and winner of the 74th Annual Hunger Games, Peeta Mellark, (Hutcherson). They must leave their friends and family again to embark on a Victor’s Tour of the districts.
Along the way, Katniss learns there’s a rebellion in the districts, which the Capital is in control of. President Snow is preparing for the 75th Annual Hunger Games, called The Quarter Quell, a competition that could change Panem forever and put Peeta and Katniss back in danger.
