Comedy Central is going to be busy in 2013. The network announced yesterday twelve premiere dates for the first few months of the new year. The Burn with Jeff Ross, Workaholics, and Tosh.0 all return for brand-new seasons, and there are plenty of fresh original series to keep them company, with familiar faces hosting the network’s mostly unscripted offerings.
Nick Kroll (The League) will host a new sketch series called Kroll Show, beginning in January. Esteemed roaster Anthony Jeselnik will spotlight “Train Wreck” news in The Jeselnik Offensive, premiering in February. Ben Hoffman will appear in a blend of sketch comedy and man-on-the-street interviews in The Ben Show, and business guru Nathan Fielder will help transform small businesses into moneymakers on Nathan For You, both starting in February. Amy Schumer is going to be talking sex in the variety series Inside Amy Schumer, slated for the end of April.
Comedy Central has also scheduled three stand-up specials. Bowing in January is Jeselnik’s Caligula show, followed by Kristen Schaal, currently appearing on NBC’s 30 Rock, with Live at the Fillmore. Both are world premieres, and catch the network television debut of Katt Williams: Kattpacalypse in February.
That’s not all – fans of FX’s long-running comedy series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia will be thrilled to hear that the show is coming to Comedy Central. Two episodes from season eight, which is currently airing on FX, will be broadcast every Thursday night.
