British rock band Muse has teamed with Paramount Pictures to celebrate the release of the distributor’s anticipated action horror drama, ‘World War Z.’ The Grammy Award-winning band will perform following the film’s world premiere in London’s Leicester Square tomorrow. Muse will sing tracks from its latest album, ‘The 2nd Law,’ which are featured in the film, at Horse Guards Parade Ground in St. James’s Park.
Tickets for the performance by Muse, which earned its highest-ever debut on the Billboard Top 200 Albums when ‘The 2nd Law’ charted at No. 2 a week after its release in October, are now available. Fans can buy tickets on the band’s section of the ‘World War Z’ website.
‘World War Z’ was directed by Marc Forster, and was written by Matthew Michael Carnahan, Drew Goddard and Damon Lindelof. The film follows an ex-United Nations investigator, Gerry Lane, played by Brad Pitt, who traverses the world in a race against time. He must leave his family in order to stop a pandemic that’s toppling armies and governments, and threatening to decimate humanity itself. The drama, which is set to be released in theaters on June 21, also stars Mireille Enos and James Badge Dale.
