A new trailer for the Steve Jobs biopic ‘Jobs’, with Ashton Kutcher (Two and a Half Men) in the starring role, has been released. The theatrical clip gives a better view of what’s to come from director Joshua Michael Stern’s (Swing Vote) efforts at capturing the visionary’s journey as the inventor and co-founder of Apple. The clip kicks off with a barefoot and rebellious Kutcher walking the campus after dropping out of college. From there the trailer shows off Kutcher and Josh Gad (The Rocker) as Steve Wozniak, teaming on their start-up that would eventually turn into a billion dollar corporation. The trailer closes with a quote from Jobs. ”Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.”
Newcomer Matt Whiteley wrote the script for the biopic that is starting to catch buzz as the film’s release grows near. Actors Amanda Crew (Charlie St. Cloud), who plays Jobs love interest, James Woods (Casino), Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friends Wedding), Lukas Haas (Inception and Matthew Modine (The Dark Knight Rises) round out the cast. ‘Jobs’ is scheduled to hit theaters on August 16 after getting bumped out of its original April spot.
