I think we’ve heard close to nothing about Disney’s upcoming live-action film “Tomorrowland.” But Disney has released some really important information and even a bit of a synopsis (though it reads more like a one-sentence pitch than a full synopsis).

Actress Britt Robertson (“Under the Dome,” “Delivery Man”) has been cast in a lead role the Disney film. She’s playing a girl who is launched on a crazy journey. This is where the synopsis comes in:

“In the film, a high school girl with an unconventional understanding of technology is launched on a journey to reclaim her future.”

Other information we already know about the film is that it’s starring George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, Raffey Cassidy and Thomas Robinson and that it’s being directed by Brad Bird. The producers include Bird and Damon Lindelof. The screenplay is by Bird, Lindelof and Jeff Jenson. We can also assume from the title that the Disney park “land” associated with it will be involved in some way, similar to “Pirates of the Caribbean.” “Tomorrowland” will be in theaters December 12, 2014

What do you think about “Tomorrowland”? With a cast that includes both Clooney and Laurie, what kind of acting and story are you expecting? Give your opinions in the comments section below.
