If you were gearing up to watch your favorite CBS programming Friday, you were unfortunately inconvenienced thanks to the broadcasting war CBS and Time Warner are currently waging. However, the one winner out of this could be the people who have Alki David’s FilmOn, which is in almost all of the major markets that CBS was blacked out in.

According to TV App Market, CBS and TimeWarner failed to reach an agreement over carriage fees, resulting in CBS pulling full episodes of their programming from CBS.com for customers who have internet access through Time Warner. The areas affected include Washington D.C., Denver, Dallas, New York City, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami and Boston, among others. FilmOn, on the other hand, is up and running in these areas. Not only that, but FilmOn is expecting to expand their brand to other cities.

David told the website that even though the Seattle, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Phoenix markets are being legally restrained, he expects that to all change with the Aug. 27 appeal date. “We are adding 16 more cities in the coming six weeks,” he said. “The law is clearly in support of the technology to lease micro antennas to the consumer from which they can connect remotely over the internet…We are currently in more cities than Aereo [a service provided by media mogul Barry Diller] and plan to be in many more…our compelling content offering includes 500 live and linear channels plus 45,000 Videos On Demand. For free!”
