Image Entertainment and The Film Arcade have co-acquired fantasy/action film “The Adventurer: The Curse of the Midas Box” at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The $25 million film is based on the best-selling novel “Mariah Mundi and the Midas Box.”
“With the novel’s strong following, there’s no doubt that THE ADVENTURER: THE CURSE OF THE MIDAS BOX will be a hit with fans and general audiences alike,” said Image Entertainment’s Chief Acquisition Officer, Bill Bromiley. “The film takes moviegoers on a fantastical ride that will entertain every generation of the family.”

“The Adventurer: The Curse of the Midas Box” is directed by Jonathan Newman and stars Michael Sheen (“Frost/Nixon,” “The Twilight Saga”), Lena Headey (“Game of Thrones”, “300”), Sam Neill (“Jurassic Park,” “The Tudors”), Ioan Gruffudd (“Fantastic Four”) and Aneurin Barnard (“The White Queen”).
