Filmmaker David Ayer grew in the ranks in Hollywood, first as a screenwriter with the film “Training Day,” “S.W.A.T.,” and the original “The Fast and The Furious.” Since the early 2000s, Ayer transitioned into directing with the movies “Street Kings” and “End of Watch.” Ayer’s latest film “Sabotage” is positioned to be another hard-hitting action movie from the 45-year-old writer/director.
Open Road Films released new images (via USA Today) from the movie “Sabotage” that features Arnold Schwarzenegger and co-star Sam Worthington. The images showcase the films heavy action and Schwarzenegger’s bad haircut, as the Austrian-born action star says, “It’s the most stupid haircut I have ever had. Look at the way I look!” The new look isn’t for vanity, but rather to give his character an authentic look and feel.
“Sabotage” is loosely based on Agatha Christie’s “Ten Little Indians.” Read the film’s synopsis below:
“A team of Drug Enforcement Administration operatives, led by John Wharton (a.k.a “Breacher”) is sent to bust the safe house of a drug cartel, although the main and actual motive is to pocket millions of dollars worth of loot. With the money safely hidden, the squad thinks that their secret is safe – until a mysterious assassin starts assassinating the team members one by one.”
The action film also stars Joe Manganiello, Harold Perrineau, Terrence Howard, Max Martini, Gary Grubbs, Josh Holloway, Olivia Williams, and Mireille Enos.
“Sabotage” will hit theaters everywhere on April 11, 2014.
