UFC heavyweight champ Shane Del Rosario died Monday after suffering a heart attack in his Newport Beach, CA home two weeks ago. Del Rosario, 30, remained in a coma at the Hoag Memorial Presbyterian Hospital — also in Newport Beach — until his death on Monday, Dec. 9. Del Rosario’s manager, Jason House, revealed that the heart was most likely due to a congenital disorder.
Del Rosario was found after the heart attack by roommate and training partner Ian McCall, who sent out this RIP on social media following Del Rosario’s death.
RIP to one of the best people I’ve ever had the honor to have in my life and call my best friend.… http://t.co/P1uFUomU91
