One of the biggest movies coming out in 2015 is the sequel to “Man of Steel.” “Batman Vs. Superman” is positioned to be a big moneymaker for Warner Bros and DC Comics Entertainment. The movie studio has a lot riding on the success of the superhero movie, so they’re bringing in the best of the best to compete with Marvel Studios and “The Avengers.”

According to THR, Warner Bros hired screenwriter Chris Terrio to help write the script for “Man of Steel 2.” Terrio is an Academy Award winning screenwriter with credits such as “Heights” and “Argo” under his belt. The connection to “Man of Steel 2” is “Argo,” which was directed by Ben Affleck, who is playing Batman/Bruce Wayne in the new sequel film. Screenwriter David Goyer is still writing the film’s script, but Chris Terrio will most likely punch up and polish the screenplay, rather than just doing a page-one re-write.

“Man of Steel: Batman Vs. Superman” stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, and Lawrence Fishburne as Perry White. It is rumored Jason Momoa is circling the film, while Warner Bros has expressed an interest in Joaquin Phoenix as the film’s central villain, most likely Lex Luthor.

“Batman Vs. Superman” will hit theaters everywhere on July 17, 2015. What do you think of the new hire? Will Chris Terrio class up “Man of Steel 2?” Leave your comments below.
