The light has been shed on the plot for the action sci-fi drama, ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,’ as its distributor, 20th Century Fox, has released the official trailer for the film. The minute-and-a-half trailer for the upcoming sequel follows Gary Oldman’s character, Dreyfus, encouraging the human masses to fight back against Caesar and the apes.
‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,’ the anticipated sequel to the 2011 hit ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes,’ has also received a new release date of July 11, 2014. The action-adventure film, which was directed by ‘Cloverfield’ helmer Matt Reeves, stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Oldman, Keri Russell, Judy Greer, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smith-Mcphee, Enrique Muriciano and Kirk Acevedo.
20th Century Fox has released the following official synopsis for ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’:
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
