Wes Anderson is one of the best American directors working today. His films appeal to the art-house crowd, but plenty can be gained for general audiences. While Wes Anderson keeps refining his style film after film, Anderson has yet to make his masterpiece. Perhaps “The Grand Budapest Hotel” might move the needle for the American auteur.
The new film released a new poster via Vulture and it looks great! It sets up the precise and meticulous style Wes Anderson is mostly known for, as it captures the films tone and look. Read the film’s synopsis below:
“In 1920s Europe, a famed hotel concierge by the name of Gustave H. is bequeathed a painting called Boy With Apple after his one night stand, Madame D, is killed. Madame D’s son, Dmitri, vows revenge on Gustave by framing him for Madame D’s murder. Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy, and his love interest, Agatha, help Gustave hide Boy with Apple from Dmitri and the authorities. Also, Bill Murray’s character, M. Ivan, is the manager of Grand Budapest’s rival hotel, Excelsior Palace.”
I’m really looking forward to this one! Wes Anderson is one of favorites and with an all-star cast “The Grand Budapest Hotel” boasts, the new film is surely to be an instant classic!
Wes Anderson’s latest stars Ralph Fiennes, F. Murray Abraham, Mathieu Amalric, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Jude Law, Harvey Keitel, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Saoirse Ronan, Léa Seydoux, Jason Schwartzman, Tilda Swinton, Tom Wilkinson, and Owen Wilson as M. Chuck.
“The Grand Budapest Hotel” hit theaters everywhere on March 7, 2014.
