Actor Paul Bettany has been the voice of Tony Stark’s artificial intelligence computer J.A.R.V.I.S. since the first “Iron Man” movie in 2008. Throughout the years, he has played the role well with a bit of humor and gravitas. Now it seems that Paul Bettany will also be playing a new addition to The Avengers team, Vision.
Paul Bettany was cast in “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” as Vision, the robot created by the evil Ultron, but then switches sides to fight against his former master and along side of The Avengers. It’s unclear how this will all come to fruition considering Bettany’s role as J.A.R.V.I.S. in the film, but it was believed that Ultron would be created as an infected and wrapped version of Stark’s A.I. From Variety:
“Production starts next month, with director Joss Whedon and cast members like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans. The Vision was an android created by the robotic villain Ultron, who was meant to be one of Ultron’s henchmen but who instead turns against him and becomes a hero.
Kevin Feige will produce.”
At the moment, the new Marvel movie will feature Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Cobie Smulders, Samuel L. Jackson, James Spader, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Thomas Kretschmann, Paul Bettany as J.A.R.V.I.S. and Vision.
“The Avengers: Age of Ultron” will hit theaters everywhere on May 1, 2015, in 3D.
