The hype for Johnny Depp’s forthcoming sci-fi thriller Transcendence has gone into overdrive – with the latest trailer suggesting that movie fans won’t be disappointed.
Oscar winner Wally Pfister makes his debut as a director in this star studded Warner Bros movie that focuses on artificial intelligence (A.I.).
Depp himself stars as Dr. Will Caster- a A.I. researcher- whose goal is to create a vast online intelligence system, but problems arise when an opposing group takes action against the doctor and his organisation.
During an attack against his organisation Dr. Carter gets shot, and in an attempt to save him they upload his consciousness- in turn he becomes the system he has being striving to construct.
But with great power, that could potentially control all the data imaginable, comes great responsibility and threat, and in order to stop the hyper intelligent system from gaining too much control action must be taken.
Morgan Freeman, Rebecca Hall, Paul Bettany, Kate Mara and Cillian Murphy also star in the movie which is set to be released in US theatres on the 18th April
Johnny Depp has not only been busy filming Transcendence, he recently got engaged to Amber Heard who will be hoping her husband-to-be is a success in his latest blockbuster.
