Wes Anderson has a big cult following that flows into the mainstream. While Anderson’s films appeal to mostly an art-house audience, there are plenty for everyone to enjoy with his brand of comedy and quirkiness. Wes Anderson keeps refining his signature style from film after film, but it seems his best is yet to come. Maybe “The Grand Budapest Hotel” might just be that movie!
The new art-house film released a new featurette that shows off the new movie’s hijinks. It looks absolutely amazing!! It sets up the precise and meticulous style Wes Anderson is mostly known for, as it captures the films tone, look, and comedy. Read the film’s synopsis below:
“In 1920s Europe, a famed hotel concierge by the name of Gustave H. is bequeathed a painting called Boy With Apple after his one night stand, Madame D, is killed. Madame D’s son, Dmitri, vows revenge on Gustave by framing him for Madame D’s murder. Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy, and his love interest, Agatha, help Gustave hide Boy with Apple from Dmitri and the authorities. Also, Bill Murray’s character, M. Ivan, is the manager of Grand Budapest’s rival hotel, Excelsior Palace.”
I’m really looking forward to this one! Wes Anderson is one of favorite directors! His movies are always an event and “The Grand Budapest Hotel” should be no different.
Wes Anderson’s latest features Ralph Fiennes, F. Murray Abraham, Mathieu Amalric, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Jude Law, Harvey Keitel, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Saoirse Ronan, Léa Seydoux, Jason Schwartzman, Tilda Swinton, Tom Wilkinson, and Owen Wilson as M. Chuck.
“The Grand Budapest Hotel” hit theaters everywhere on March 7, 2014. I can’t wait!!
