Mark Wahlberg received continuous attention last night at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards ceremony, which were broadcast live from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. Not only did the actor receive the MTV Generation Award from the cast of ‘Entourage,’ the hit HBO comedy-drama series he produced, but a new TV spot for his upcoming blockbuster, ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction,’ was shown during the broadcast.
The third sequel in the smash ‘Transformers’ film series reunites Wahlberg with his ‘Pain and Gain’ director, Michael Bay, who also helmed all the previous installments in the franchise. The action adventure also stars Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles and Li Bingbing.
The sci-fi film, which was written by Ehren Kruger, stars Wahlberg as mechanic Cade Yeagar, a father and everyman. He becomes embroiled in the high-stakes action that ensues when warring tribes of alien robots duke it out here on Earth. The latest installment introduces Dinobots into the mix.
