Johnny Depp sets out on an international adventure in the new teaser trailer for his upcoming action film, ‘Mortdecai.’ The actor stars as the comedy’s title character, Charlie Mortdecai, who’s faced with a mysteriously missing piece of art. The trailer follows Charlie as he sets out to uncover the stole item that may hold the code to unlimited wealth.
‘Mortdecai’ was written by Eric Aronson, who based the story on Kyril Bonfigllioli’s novel, ‘Don’t Point That Thing At Me.’ The action comedy was helmed by David Koepp, who previously directed Depp in the 2004 mystery thriller, ‘Secret Window.’ Lionsgate, which will distribute the film in theaters on February 6, 2015, has released the following synopsis for ‘Mortdecai’:
Juggling some angry Russians, the British Mi5, his impossibly leggy wife and an international terrorist, debonair art dealer and part time rogue Charlie Mortdecai (Johnny Depp) must traverse the globe armed only with his good looks and special charm in a race to recover a stolen painting rumored to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold.
