“John Wick” is coming to theaters Oct. 24 and IMDB celebrated the film’s upcoming release by holding a live global Twitter event featuring the star of “John Wick,” Keanu Reeves.
The multilingual event, which took place Wednesday, featured Reeves answering questions from fans from around the world. Some of the answers illuminated more about how Reeves prepared for his role.
One fan, @summer0001, asked Reeves what steps he took to get in the mindset of John Wick. “On the action side I had [three] months of training. And I came up [with] a backstory for him & tried to personalize his emotions,” Reeves wrote. “And was supported by wonderful characters [and] dialogue.”
Reeves also revealed which director he’d love to work with. “Today I will pick Martin Scorsese b/c his films look they are always so much fun to act in,” wrote Reeves to Amanda (@BSBFan_Belle). “He’s such a wonderful storyteller. And I grew up being inspired by his films.”
Fans wanted to know if Reeves, who directed “Man of Tai Chi,” if he would get back in the director’s chair. “I so loved directing and hope to have the chance to do it again. I hope to find the story to tell,” wrote Reeves to Amanda Hunt (@man_ders11).
