Jimmy Kimmel is about to become a hologram! Deadline Hollywood is reporting that the popular late night talk show host will use Hologram USA’s technology to provide him with the competitor’s edge.
Kimmel, who is usually makes the most of his timeslot during Oscar night, is hoping to have the same kind of success when his show airs after the CMA Awards Nov. 5. Kimmel has said that his show will feature a hologram version of Kimmel on the Nashville CMAS stage. During his time on stage, he’ll perform his late-night monologue. Also undergoing the holographic treatment will be country act Florida Georgia Line, who will be Kimmel’s guest and musical act for the night. Whereas Kimmel plans on having his holographic self in Nashville, Florida Georgia Line will beam in from Nashville to appear with Kimmel on his set in Hollywood.
Hologram USA, owned by FilmOn CEO Alki David, is making waves in the US with the still-talked about Tupac Shakur hologram at Coachella. It’s also been at the center of several legal battles, the most notorious of which being patent rights concerning the Michael Jackson hologram at the 2014 Billboard Awards.
