The following synopsis for ‘What If’ has been released by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment:
‘What If’ is the story of medical school dropout Wallace (Radcliffe), who’s been repeatedly burned, by bad relationships. So while everyone around him, including his friend Allan (Adam Driver), seems to be finding the perfect partner (Mackenzie Davis), Wallace decides to put his love life on hold. It is then that he meets Chantry (Kazan), an animator who lives with her longtime boyfriend Ben (Rafe Spall).
Wallace and Chantry form an instant connection, striking up a close friendship. Still, there is no denying the chemistry between them, leading the pair to wonder, “what if” the love of your life is actually your best friend?
The ‘What If’ Blu-ray will include several special features, such as the vignette ‘Blurred Lines,’ during which the actors and filmmakers explore the film’s themes and talk about their experience shooting a modern love story. The Blu-ray will also feature the vignette ‘Opposites Attract,’ in which the cast and crew discuss the ups and downs of Chantry and Wallace, and become acquainted with their hilarious friends. The ‘What If’ Blu-ray will also include three deleted scenes; a Behind the Scenes featurette, during which the filmmakers and cast talk through the movie’s production; and the featurette, ‘A Modern Love Story,’ during which Radcliffe and Kazan setup the story, and the filmmakers introduce viewers to the rest of the cast.
‘What If’ was directed by ‘Goon’ helmer, Michael Dowse, and written by ‘Alone in the Dark’ scribe, Elan Mastai. For more information on ‘What If,’ visit the romantic comedy’s official website, as well as its Facebook and Twitter pages.
