Vin Diesel is going for one last ride with his acclaimed ‘The Fast & the Furious’ series, as he continued promoting the upcoming sixth sequel in the action series, ‘Furious 7.’ The MTV Movie Award-winning actor welcomed the newly-decaled Etihad Airways Flight 171 as it arrived at LAX from Abu Dhabi on Wednesday afternoon.
The ‘Furious 7’ plane was unveiled by Etihad Airways and Universal Pictures, which will distribute the crime thriller in theaters on April 3. The arrival of the airliner kicked off the global junket and world premiere of the crime thriller.
‘The Conjuring’ helmer James Wan made his directorial debut in ‘The Fast and the Furious’ series with ‘Furious 7.’ The film was written by returning franchise scribe, Chris Morgan, who penned every installment since ‘The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.’ The upcoming follow-up welcomed back such series favorites as Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris :Ludacris” Bridges, Dwayne Johnson, Elsa Pataky and Lucas Black. They were joined by several international action stars who are new to the franchise, including Jason Statham, Djimon Hounsou, Tony Jaa, Ronda Rousey, Nathalie Emmanuel and Kurt Russell.
