Sean Bean is refusing to give up hope on reforming himself as he faces one of the greatest challenge of his life in Shockya’s exclusive clip from his new thriller, ‘Any Day.’ The video supports the independent film’s release, which was unveiled in theaters today by its distribution company, Gravitas Ventures. The drama, which is also available on VOD, was written and directed by ‘Project Solitude’ scribe and helmer, Rustam Branaman. Besides Bean, the movie also stars Eva Longoria, Kate Walsh and Tom Arnold.
The following synopsis for ‘Any Day’ has been released by Gravitas Ventures:
Vian McLean (Bean) is an ex fighter who is filled with resentment. He killed a man with his bare hands and has just spent the last twelve years in prison for the crime. Upon his release from prison, he comes to stay with his sister Bethley (Walsh) and her son Jimmy (Nolan Gross), who gets to know Vian and looks up to his uncle as the greatest man he has ever known. Vian struggles to find a job and when he does, he meets a woman, Jolene (Longoria), and falls in love. Everything seems to be working out, but when a tragic event happens, Vian is thrown into a dark place. He faces the greatest challenge of his life, only to be shown the right path in a sudden experience that will alter his life forever.
The clip follows Vian as he takes Jolene on a date in a restaurant, and she states how good her wine is. As he states he doesn’t drink, they begin talking about his personal life, including how she thinks it’s nice he lives with his sister and nephew. When he answers that his living arrangement is okay, he appears to be uncomfortable talking about himself, especially when Jolene then asks what type of job he has. Vian hesitantly answers that he’s a chef, to which she seems surprised, as she reveals she thought he worked in construction.
When Jolene inquires about Vian’s culinary training, he quickly changes the subject, and asks what she does for a living. She reveals she’s a mortgage broker, and that it wasn’t a job she initially thought she would like doing. But when her company she started working for in the beginning of her career went under, she received a better offer at another firm. Vian appears to be slightly intimidated by prospect, as he realizes he faces the challenge of trying to cope with other people’s successes, particularly when they’re compared to his own history.
