Thandie Newton and Rupert Evans are searching for clues that can help their characters solve the latest case in their FBI task force in Shockya’s exclusive new clip for the drama series, ‘Rogue.’ The video, titled ‘Rogue-Season 2-Script to Screen: FBI,’ supports this week’s DVD release of the ten-episode second season of the action crime series, which aired last summer on DirecTV’s Audience Network.
‘Rogue’s second season follows Newton’s character, Grace, a former San Jose police officer who takes a new job as a handler for an FBI task force. Grace’s new task force begins investigating corporate espionage in San Francisco, particularly when a female undercover operative, Sarah (Aleksa Palladino), goes missing. As a result, Grace is forced to begin working undercover, where she meets Ethan (Cole Hauser), a seemingly charming security consultant turned disillusioned ex-soldier. She begins to suspect that he may be responsible for the disappearance, or even death, of Sarah. Evans plays Elliot, the FBI agent who runs the task force Grace is now working for, although the two don’t always agree on how to best approach investigating their case.
‘Rogue-Season 2-Script to Screen: FBI’ begins with a clip of Elliot as he brings Grace into their office. He tells her that she needs to be reminded of what it means to be working on a covert assignment, despite her instance that she still should be working in the field.
During an interview about the second season, Evans then states how his character’s in new territory. The actor points out that his character insists to Grace that she follows the rules, despite her determination to do whatever it takes to find out what really happened to Sarah.
Newton then reveals in an interview that Grace feels as though important information that could help her solve the case is being held from her. The undercover agent then discovers the truth that the task force is really investigating dirty money, and not a prostitution ring that Sarah was seemingly involved in examining. When she asks what kind of illegal activities the money is linked to, Elliot tells her that’s what the task force is trying to figure out.
The clip then reveals that the task leader was really hired to control the people on the team who are considered to be uncontrollable. Evans states that it’s interesting to play an FBI agent like Elliot, as there’s a hierarchy that he has to follow. He also reveals that he thinks the fact that Season 2 has really revolved around the characters has made ‘Rogue’ even better.
