Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, which will distribute the movie in U.S. theaters on March 4, 2016, has released the new clip and photos for it’s 55th animated feature.
‘Zootopia’ features an ensemble voice cast that includes Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Shakira, Idris Elba, J.K. Simmons, Nate Torrence, Jenny Slate, Tommy Chong, Octavia Spencer, Bonnie Hunt, Don Lake, Alan Tudyk, Tommy “Tiny” Lister, Raymond Persi, Katie Lowes, Jesse Corti and John DiMaggio. The animated movie was helmed by Byron Howard and Rich Moore, and Jared Bush served as their co-director.
Music plays an important part in ‘Zootopia,’ which was composed by Michael Giacchino. Shakira voiced Gazelle, the biggest pop star in the city, in the animated adventure comedy. The Grammy Award-winning singer also performed the film’s all-new original song, ‘Try Everything,’ which was written by singer-songwriter Sia and songwriting duo Stargate.
Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures has released the following synopsis for ‘Zootopia’:
The modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia is a city like no other. Comprised of habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it’s a melting pot where animals from every environment live together—a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when rookie Officer Judy Hopps (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin) arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde (voice of Jason Bateman), to solve the mystery.
