Derek Zoolander is once again satirizing the fashion industry and pop culture, 15 years after he first garnered international fame. To encourage his fans to join in on the fun, Ben Stiller, who reprised his title model character in the upcoming comedy sequel, ‘Zoolander No. 2,’ attended a fan screening Solo Para Guapos (Only for Good Looking People) in Madrid. The actor, who also returned as the series’ director, was joined by some of his co-stars at the screening, which was held on Monday night at the Spanish city’s Capitol Theater.
Paramount Pictures is set to release ‘Zoolander No. 2’ in theaters on February 12. Stiller co-wrote the follow-up to the 2001 comedy, ‘Zoolander,’ with John Hamburg, Nick Stoller and Justin Theroux.
‘Zoolander No. 2’ follows the world’s most beautiful musical celebrities being assassinated with formerly famous male model Derek Zoolander’s iconic “Blue Steel” look on their face. So Interpol decides to recruit Derek and his friend Hansel McDonald (Owen Wilson) to infiltrate a new and different world of high fashion in order to put a stop to it. Meanwhile, Derek’s rival Jacobim Mugatu (Will Ferrell) is set free and is seeking revenge.
