When ancient flying reptiles attack Los Angeles, it’s up to two working-class friends, who are the unlikeliest of heroes, to save the day, even if they have to take on one of America’s other greatest nightmares: L.A. traffic. In honor of MarVista Entertainment preparing to release its new action film, ‘Terrordactyl,’ via Digital and On-Demand platforms this Tuesday, July 14, Shockya has an exclusive clip, titled ‘L.A. Traffic,’ from the doomsday movie.
The comedy marks the feature film directorial debut of FX Master Don Bitters, who also penned the script and created the visual effects for the movie, and Geoff Reisner, who also served as the film’s cinematographer and editor. The two filmmakers also executive produced ‘Terrordactyl’ together. The film stars Bianca Haase, Victoria Summer, David Landry, Jason Tobias, Jack E. Curenton and Candice Nunes.
MarVista Entertainment, a leading independent producer and distributor of features and family entertainment programming, acquired the global distribution rights to 3rd Films’ ‘Terrordactyl’ during last year’s American Film Market. The announcement of the horror movie’s acquisition was made by Vanessa Shapiro, EVP, Distribution, MarVista Entertainment, and Stephanie Slack, SVP, Acquisitions and Co-productions, MarVista Entertainment.
The following synopsis for ‘Terrordactyl’ was released by Marvista Entertainment:
When a meteor shower rains down outside Los Angeles, Jonas (Jason Tobias) and Lars (Christopher John Jennings), two friends stuck in tired, boring lives, head out to find a meteor and strike it rich. After recovering one, they start being stalked by terrordactyls, ancient flying reptiles that launch a full-on assault on the city. Trying to survive, they go on the run where the unlikely heroes, along with Candice (Candice Nunes), a tough-and-sexy bartender, Valerie (Bianca Haase), her sultry roommate, and Sampson (Jack E. Curenton), a constantly drunk and brash ex-marine, soon discover that there’s more to the meteor than meets the eye. They must learn to put their differences aside, and fight back to make the Terrordactyls extinct once again.
