The four-time Emmy Award-nominated English actor is bringing his wisdom to a new continent, as the first season of his STARZ comedy series, ‘Blunt Talk,’ has been distributed on DVD. The home release of the show is available today by Anchor Bay Entertainment.

Stewart received a 2016 Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy for his role in ‘Blunt Talk.’ The 10-episode half-hour show is executive produced by Academy Award nominee Seth MacFarlane, as well as Jonathan Ames, Stephanie Davis and Tristram Shapeero..
The comedy, which is set in Los Angeles, follows Stewart’s title character, Walter Blunt, a British import who’s intent on conquering the world of American cable news. Through the platform of his nightly news show, Blunt is on a mission to impart his wisdom and guidance on how Americans should live, think and behave.
In addition to Stewart, ‘Blunt Talk’ also stars Academy Award nominee Jacki Weaver as Rosalie, Blunt’s tough and motherly producer-manager; Adrian Scarborough as Harry, Blunt’s manservant; and Timm Sharp as Jim Stone. The sitcom also features many guest stars, including Elisabeth Shue, Jason Schwartzman, Ed Begley Jr., Richard Lewis and Mary Holland.
With a suggested retail price of $39.98, the ‘Blunt Talk’ Season 1 DVD includes 20 minutes of in-depth bonus features, including commentary on the writing and making of each episode from creator Jonathan Ames. Check out the box art for the STARZ sitcom’s first season below.
