The need for many people to find atonement and retribution against the enemies who have wronged them is a compelling motivation in their people’s lives. That’s certainly the case for the protagonist in the martial arts film, ‘Kickboxer: Vengeance,’ who’s on a quest for restitution for his brother. In honor of the action movie’s home release today, Shockya is premiering an exclusive clip from the drama, which is titled ‘Pay the Price.’
‘Kickboxer: Vengeance,’ which is a reboot of directors Mark DiSalle and David Worth’s 1989 martial arts film, ‘Kickboxer,’ is now available on Blu-Ray and on DVDB from RLJ Entertainment. The Blu-Ray is retailing for an SRP of $29.97, and the DVD is selling for an SRP of $29.96. The action movie’s home release comes after the distributor unveiled the drama in theaters and on VOD and Digital HD on September 2.
The Blu-Ray and DVD include a behind-the-scenes featurette with actors David Bautista, Georges St-Pierre, Gina Carano and Alain Moussi, who take viewers into the world of ‘Kickboxer: Vengeance.’ The featurette includes first-hand insight into how the champion fighters take their martial art skills from the mat to the big screen to create the most intense, brutal and realistic battles seen on film.
The new film in the ‘Kickboxer’ franchise was directed by John Stockwell, and written by Dimitri Logothetis and Jim McGrath. In addition to Bautista, St-Pierre, Carano and Moussi, who plays the protagonist, the action movie stars Cain Velasquez, Fabricio Werdum, Sara Malakul Lane and Jean-Claude Van Damme.
RLJ Entertainment has release the following synopsis for ‘Kickboxer: Vengeance’:
Kurt Sloane (Alain Moussi) has always been there for his brother, Eric (Darren Shahlavi), who’s known in the martial arts world as a modern-day warrior. But when the ruthless and undefeated fighter Tong Po (David Bautista) brutally ends Eric’s life in a no-holds-barred match in Thailand, Kurt devotes himself to training with a master (Jean-Claude Van Damme) in a quest for redemption…and revenge.
