That’s certainly the case for the honorably discharged young U.S. Marine, Travis Bickle, in the acclaimed drama, ‘Taxi Driver,’ whose increasing loneliness and depression begin to lead him down a destructive path. The crime drama stars Robert De Niro as Travis, the title taxi driver, and Jodie Foster in iconic Academy Award-nominated roles, as well as Albert Brooks, Harvey Keitel, Peter Boyle and Cybill Shepherd. It’s being released on Blu-ray today from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. ‘Taxi Driver’ was directed by BAFTA Award-nominated helmer, Martin Scorsese.
