Hailee Steinfeld is realizing that teenage life has never been so hilarious and heartfelt as it is in her acclaimed coming-of-age comedy-drama, ‘The Edge of Seventeen.’ The performer was nominated for this year’s Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her realistic portrayal of what it’s like to grow up as a young woman today. Steinfeld’s enchanting deception will live on forever, as the film was released this week on Blu-ra and DVD by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.

The Blu-ray and DVD for ‘The Edge of Seventeen,’ which is now available on Digital HD, include such bonus feature as a Gag Reel and Deleted Scenes. The movie, which premiered at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival, was then distributed into theaters this past November by STX Entertainment.
In addition to Steinfeld, who was honored with the Best Young Actress award by the Women Film Critics Circle in December, the comedy-drama also stars Woody Harrelson, Kyra Sedgwick and Haley Lu Richardson. The film was written, helmed and produced by Kelly Fremon Craig in her feature film directorial and producing debuts.
‘The Edge of Seventeen’ follows Nadine (Steinfeld) and Krista (Richardson), who are are inseparable best friends attempting to navigate high school together. But then Nadine’s world gets turned upside down when she finds out that Krista has been secretly dating her popular older brother, Darian (Blake Jenner), behind her back. Now with her best friend as her worst enemy, Nadine has to deal with being an awkward loner, while discovering that what may feel like the end of the world is really just the beginning of growing up.
