‘Gold,’ which was helmed by ‘Syriana’ director, Stephen Gaghan, and written by Patrick Massett and John Zinman, follows the story of Kenny Wells, a gold prospector who’s determined to strike it rich. The drama features the Academy Award-winning McConaughey in the role of Wells, as well as Edgar Ramirez, Bryce Dallas Howard, Corey Stoll, Stacy Keach and Bruce Greenwood.
The Golden Globe-nominated-‘Gold’ follows Wells as he teams up with a similarly eager geologist, Michael Acosta (RamÃrez). The duo sets off on an amazing journey to find gold in the uncharted jungle of Indonesia. Getting the gold was hard, but keeping it would be even harder, as they sparked an adventure through the most powerful boardrooms of Wall Street.
The home entertainment release of ‘Gold’ is packed with such bonus features as a feature commentary with Gaghan, a deleted sequence of the film, an exploration of the movie’s origins, a journey through the thriller’s locations and a behind-the-scenes look at McConaughey’s performance as Wells. ‘Gold’ will be available on Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD for the suggested retail price of $39.99 and $29.95, respectively.
