Charlie Hunnam has the confidence to give 1,000 punches a day in his action sequences for his upcoming adventure movie, ‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.’ In a new featurette for the drama, the actor discusses how he spent time in the gym preparing for his stunts, particularly for the emotional aspects of the intense scenes.
The new clip, which is titled ‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword – 1000 Punches Featurette,’ is helping to promote the for the action film’s distribution in North America this Friday by Warner Bros. Pictures. The fantasy drama was directed by Guy Ritchie, who spoke with Hunnam about how the title character’s hunger to succeed in life drove his emotions and physicality.
In addition to Hunnam, ‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’ also stars Jude Law, Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Djimon Hounsou, Aidan Gillen and Eric Bana. The epic movie, which is an iconoclastic take on the classic Excalibur myth, and traces Arthur’s journey from the streets to the throne, was written by Joby Harold and Lionel Wigram. Besides helming the adventure film, Ritchie also contributed to the script and served as one of the producers.

When the child Arthur’s father, King Uther Pendragon (Bana), is murdered, Vortigern (Law), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown.
